Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIVIAN D. BEATTY Vivian D. Beatty passed away on February 7, 2015, aged 82, at the Campbell River Hospital after a long battle with COPD. Vivian was predeceased by her husband Harold Beatty; sister Evelyn, and daughter-in-law Chris. She leaves to mourn her passing her children Martin and Leslie (Arnold), as well as grandchildren Jason (Hillary); Andrea; Calvin and Cara. Vivian will also be dearly missed by her sisters Joan Sveinson; Marjorie Sparks; Trish Stewart and Doris Marseille, and her sister-in-law Marj Arnason. Vivian was born in Manitoba and worked for 15 years at the Winnipeg Free Press. After moving to BC she worked at K-Mart, as well as working alongside her husband Harold, in the Fishing Industry and the pool hall that they owned, called "Harold's Place. In retirement she and Harold loved to snowbird, traveling to Arizona and surrounding area, enjoying the warm weather. For the last 10 years of Vivian's life, her faithful companion and loyal side kick was Phoebe, her cat. Phoebe passed away on January 27, 2015. At Vivian's request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vivian's memory to the SPCA.
