ROSE MARIE BEAR December 1, 1957 - February 16, 2015 After a lengthy battle with cancer, Rose is now in God's hands. Rose was the beloved mother to Sheila and Michael Sinclair. Grandmother to Santana, Brennan, Brad, Kyle, Dylan, Autumn and Venessa, and great-grandmother to Jazmine and Mackenzie. She is survived by her brothers, John, George Jr., Sheldon and Dean (Otavia), sisters, Sandra (Roland), Stella, Gail and Lonie; her companion and close friend Carl Richard; countless nieces, nephews, cousins and many little children she kept close to her heart. She was predeceased by her parents, George William Bear Sr. and Mary Ann Klyne (nee Bear) (nee Halcrowe), stepfather Joseph Robert Klyne, and close cousin, Craig Bear. Rose was a generous, kind, and caring woman whose love for life was children. She worked many years with Child and Family Services and also as a foster parent to many children who still kept in contact. All who knew Rose, loved her vibrant, cheerful, and pleasant demeanor. As sick as she was, she still smiled on every day, engulfed us with her signature laugh and made us laugh with her teasing ways. A heartfelt thanks to the staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital Palliative Care Unit and to the wonderful staff at the Grace Hospice at 260 Booth Dr. They made her feel so at home as well and made her transition a much easier process. Her family was at ease knowing she was in great, caring hands. A viewing will be held on Monday February 23, 2015 at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for all friends and family. A short service will be held on Tuesday February 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Private Tommy Chief Hall in Scanterbury, MB. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Bear, Bradley Meade, Brennan Klatt, Kyle Meade, Dylan Straight, and Kelsey Straight-Bear. Honorary pallbearers are her grand, great-grand, foster, and godchildren, as well as the ones she kept in her heart from work. A private burial will be held for close family and friends at a later date. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044
