PHYLLIS EVASON After a lengthy illness, Phyllis Evason (nee Dolenka) passed away peacefully February 22, 2015 at the Grace Hospice at the age of 86 years. Born in Winnipeg on April 13, 1928, Phyllis was predeceased by her beloved husband Wallace (Waldo), her parents John and Anne, brother Ken Dolenko and sister Bernice Smith. Left to mourn Phyllis' passing are: her daughter Karen Forest (Rick), granddaughter Amanda, sisters Beatrice Babino of Birds Hill, Marlene Sorrenti (Adam) of Toronto, brother Dr. Allan Dolenko (Marilyn) of Ottawa and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Educated in Winnipeg, Phyllis was avid at crossword puzzles, and possessed quick wit, strength and dignity that was admired by all. She was fond of the various trips she took with her late husband and spending time with her family. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. The family extends special thanks to the staff of the Grace Hospice, SBGH Palliative Care Unit and the WRHA Palliative Home Care Program for all of their compassionate care.
