Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCARROL ANN BATTAGLIA January 30, 1940 - March 9, 2015 Peacefully, Carrol passed away on March 9, 2015, at the age of 75 years, at Pembina Place Personal Care Home. She was predeceased by her son Frank Battaglia in 1996, and husband Giuseppe (Joe) Battaglia in 2008. She is survived by her daughter Caterina Battaglia; grandchildren Samantha and Frank Volovich; great-granddaughter Ava; sister Pearl Linklater; brother Sonny (Donna) Hammer, and numerous nieces and nephews. Carrol's industrious nature sparked her interest in working for Eaton's, the Red Cross, and with her father in the picture framing business, but her role as a mother was most fulfilling. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 505 Brewster Street, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Jan Spyrka presiding. Interment and reception will follow at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Manitoba.
