DONATO PELLETTIERI Peacefully on March 15, 2015 with his family by his side, Donato Pellettieri passed away at age 84 years at the Health Science Centre. Donato is predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Maria Giuseppa Pellettieri, his brothers, Domenico and Giuseppe Pellettieri, his sister Giovanna and two sisters-in-law, Gaetana Z. Pellettieri and Gaetana P. Pellettieri, brother-in-law Arcangelo Taddei. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Antonia; daughters, Giuseppina "Josie" (Mario) Raimondi, Carmela (Giovanni) Amico and son, Salvatore; grandchildren Donato, Katherine, Luciano (Kristin), Angelo and Vito-Carlo, great-grandchildren Nicholas, Luke and Isabella; brothers Rocco (Lucia), Vincenzo (Donata), Michele, Francesco (Rosaria), Luigi (Maria), sister Rosa; sister-in-law Giuseppina and brother-in-law Pasquale Santore and many nieces and nephews. Donato was born in Castelmezzano, Potenza, Italy on January 8, 1931 He was married to Antonia Amico for 64 years. At age 35 years of age, he moved to Canada to be with his brothers and for a better future and opportunities for the whole family. Pallbearers: Luciano Amico, Donato Pellettieri, Angelo Amico, Vito-Carlo Amico, Michele Pellettieri and Rocco Pellettieri. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church 501 River Ave. Condolences will be offered one hour prior to mass. Reverend Father Sam Argenziano presiding at the Eucharist. Entombment to follow in the Holy Angel Mausoleum, Green Acres Memorial Gardens, No. 1 Highway East at Navin Road. During the season of Lent flowers cannot remain in the Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation in his memory. The family extends their gratitude to the staff of the Health Sciences Centre CCU 7th Floor, Home Care and Palliative Care for their attentive care of Donato.
