JANICE GALE PAICE August 13, 1954 - March 14, 2015 After fighting a courageous battle with cancer, Janice passed away peacefully on March 14, 2015 at the age of 60. She leaves to mourn her daughter Lauren (Josh); sister Susan (Jim); nieces Meghan (Ed), Allison (Stephen), and nephew David (Bobbi); Shannon (Ian); aunt Isobel, numerous relatives and friends and her two babies' Bella and Zoro. She was predeceased by her parents William and Marion Paice, and devoted and long-time companion Alvin. Janice began her career at the MGEU in the mid 1970s. It was there she built many long-lasting friendships she held close to her heart. After an early retirement in 2009, she was able to dive head first into her love of carpentry and remodeling. Janice loved to travel with life-long friends Carol and Jim. Together they saw Hawaii, Florida, Barbados, Dominican and Mexico. She had a love for the sun, and would spend every spare minute outside in her garden, or relaxing by the pool. Janice had a passion for all animals, and was known to rescue many throughout her years. Janice was admired for her fierce convictions to what she believed in, and voicing her opinions. You always knew how she felt, and where you stood. She was a strong and caring woman, someone you could look up to, and be proud to call a friend. Most of all, Janice was a loving and devoted mother. Always ready and willing to go to the ends of the earth for her family. Janice, you were an amazing woman, who will be remembered for your courage, strength and beauty. You had a heart of gold, and will be forever loved, and missed deeply. Until we meet again. We would like to thank the staff at CancerCare, Health Sciences Centre and Palliative Care. Special thanks to friends and family for all of their support over the last few months. A come and go Memorial Service will be celebrated on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at West Kildonan Legion #30, 1748 Main St., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. • Lauren I am so sorry for your loss. Janice was the best neighbour and friend anyone could ask for. She welcomed me into her home on so many occasions never letting me leave until my belly was full of her delicious cooking. She was so excited when the pool was installed and we spent many afternoons relaxing with a few beers or a bottle or two of wine. • Janice was an amazing woman, a loving and devoted mother, cousin and friend. I always admired her spunk, determination and all her many abilities. We grew up together and I will always remember sharing a beach cottage each summer with her Mom, my Auntie Mamie and my Mom Irene and the five of us cousins. These times were precious and memories were shared when we got together as we grew older. Rest In Peace sweet cousin knowing that you were loved dearly and appreciated beyond words. Heaven has another angel in its midst, an angel who will be missed very much on earth. My deep and sincere sympathy to Janice's daughter and sister and to all of her family and friends. You are all in my thoughts and prayers for I know it is not easy to deal with the loss of a loved one and Janice was loved immensely. May God bless you all with peace in the precious memories Janice left each one of us with. - Posted by: Barb Morrison (Cousin) on: Mar 22, 2015
