CHRISTOPHER RONALD PYDEE
Born: Jul 08, 1981
Date of Passing: Mar 16, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTOPHER RONALD PYDEE It is with profound sadness that we announce Chris's passing with family at his side, on Monday, March 16, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Chris will always be lovingly remembered by his parents, Debbie and Ron; sister, Sharon Pitura (Mike, niece Robyn and nephew Owen); grandmothers, Gerry Pydee and Shirley Baldinus; numerous aunts; uncles; cousins; and his best friend Dawn. Chris was born on July 8, 1981 and grew up in Charleswood, graduating from Oak Park High in 1999. He then attended the University of Manitoba and was accepted into the Faculty of Engineering Aerospace program. During his education in 2001, he was struck with Wegener's Granulomatosis, which caused him to miss many semesters of University due to hospitalization. Chris always displayed a remarkable attitude, sense of humor, and an amazing determination towards his illness, and was only one course away from graduating at his passing. Chris enjoyed summer vacations at his grandparent's cottage in Whytewold, swimming, boating, skiing, and tubing, and had many fond memories of adventures at the lake. He was an avid modeler, and a Member at Large of the International Plastic Modelers Society, and won many awards for his work. He had a passion for radio-controlled airplanes and trucks, and participated in the U of M SAE Aero Division and travelled to Marietta Georgia for an international competition in remote-controlled flight. Chris' pride and joy was his red 2013 Chevy Camaro, which gave him his independence. There will not be a formal service, but family members will gather for a private memorial. A heartfelt thanks to the many doctors and nurses at HSC who cared for Chris, especially the Renal Transplant Team, who were instrumental in his ongoing care, and were always there when he needed them. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends who would like to honor Chris's life may wish to make a donation to the Manitoba Kidney Foundation. Chris was my first friend in Winnipeg. He welcomed me with warmth and was my closest friend for my early years at Beaverlodge Elementary and many years after. I enjoyed spending time with him as we got older in band at Westdale and built models together at tiger hobbies and the local modelling club. His passion was infectious. As young friendships sometimes do we grew apart and I was unaware of his ongoing struggle with illness. I only hope that he experienced the joy of life in his all too short time with us and that if he suffered he has now found peace. My deepest condolences to Chris' family. I have a young daughter now and can't even begin to imagine your pain. Please take some comfort in the lives that continue which Chris brightened with his presence. I wish you all the best. - Posted by: Scott Jones (Friend) on: Mar 22, 2015

Chris was my very first boyfriend. He was my first kiss, first slow dance, first "I love you." I remember him as being such a sweet and caring guy. The memories we created together from elementary school to junior high have always held a special place in my heart all these years. I wish strength, healing and peace to his family. - Posted by: Megan Riley (first girlfriend ) on: Mar 22, 2015
