SALVADOR (BUDDY) LIM JR. It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our husband and father, Salvador, on March 31, 2015 at the age of 68. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 36 years Erlinda, daughter Rosalynn (John), granddaughters Alyssa and Aubrey, brother Frank (Mila), sister Lourdes (Jimmy), sister-in law Nora, nieces and nephews Ruark, Shanna (Amerson), Lucio, Earl Paulo and Samiel, along with many extended friends and family. He was predeceased by his parents, Salvador Sr. and Rosa, and brother Emmanuel. Salvador (aka "Boy") was born and raised in Calauag, Quezon, Philippines. He was a teacher at the Dominican High School. He met Erlinda in 1976 and immigrated to Canada in 1978. Salvador proudly worked for 32 years at St. Boniface General Hospital where he developed many close friendships and had a lot of great memories. Salvador was a devoted and loyal husband and father who found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a kind-hearted, loving individual who got along with everyone he knew. Simply put, he was everyone's "Buddy". Salvador's courage, strength and positive attitude were truly inspiring and will forever be in our hearts. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital, Orthopedic Surgery, 4th floor and Palliative Care for their assistance, guidance and comfort during this difficult time. Lamay (viewing) will be held from 7:00 p.m. to Midnight on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. with prayers starting at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Cathedral Parish, 353 St. Mary Avenue at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015. Interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Glen Lawn Reception Centre.
