LOURDES PAGADUAN GAMUROT October 14, 1955 - April 8, 2015 It is with deep sadness that the family of Lourdes Gamurot announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Lourdes was predeceased by her parents, Marcelina and Jose; and her siblings, Celedonia and Mauro. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Gerardo; eldest son, Gilbert (wife, Sharon and expected baby), her son, Glenn (girlfriend, Jehn May); her daughter, Kristina Lorraine (fiancé, Ronald Allan) and youngest daughter, Karen Lee. Also by her older sister, Dominga (Amado) Quines, older brother, Rodolfo (Nenita) Pagaduan, younger brother, Efren (Jocelyn) Pagaduan, younger sister, Geraldine (Cesar) Orate, and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews in Winnipeg, Toronto, Vancouver, California, Texas, Australia and the Philippines. Lourdes was born on October 14, 1955. She worked for The Philippine Heart Center of Asia for 10 years. In 1981, she married Gerardo Adsuara Gamurot and together raised their three beautiful children. She also worked for Land Bank of the Philippines for over 10 years, where she built and sustained many friendships. Lourdes independently immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada on July 30, 1995 with her husband and three children at the time. And, in 1996, she gave birth to her youngest daughter, Karen, who brought great joy to the family. She worked at Western Glove Works, Technical Products International (TPI) and then, worked in Vansco Electronics, now Parker Hannifin, for 16 years. Lourdes is loved by so many friends and co-workers. She was an active parishioner at the Roman Catholic Parish of St. Timothy, in South St. Vital from 1998 to 2011, and then at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church. She was also an active member of The Word of God JEH777 in Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines and El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI, Winnipeg Chapter, Catholic Charismatic group, held every Sunday after the Holy Mass at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church. She started attending the Charismatic Group in 1992 in the Philippines and brought her family together in praising and worshipping Yahweh El Shaddai. She faithfully attended Gawain every Sunday and attended annual anniversaries held in Los Angeles, California. Her faith and her love for the Lord was witnessed by so many people. She was a living testimony that the Lord really works in ways we cannot see. She's known to be one of the most genuine, loving, thoughtful, and generous people you will ever meet in your lifetime. She always had the love to give and the thoughtfulness to help her family and friends. She never forgot about her humble beginnings and made sure she treated each person with respect and greeted every single person she met with her infectious and beautiful smile. Lourdes' family would like to thank the team of Oncologists and Gynecologists who looked after her, from day one of her diagnosis. Dr. Lotocki, Dr. Dean, Dr. Dyson, Dr. Altman, Dr. Popowich, CancerCare Manitoba St. Boniface and her numerous nurses and health care aides who were there to look after her, compassionately, every single day at A6 West Antepartum/Gynecology wing.
