ARTHUR DUNCAN MCFEE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur Duncan "Art" McFee on April 26, 2015, with his loving wife at his side, in the St. Boniface Hospital. Art was an avid sports fan and he loved watching his favourite team, the Winnipeg Jets. His sports took a back seat though when it came to his family and in particular his granddaughter Savannah McFee. He was a gentle soul with a great sense of wit and humour that brought out the best of those around him. Art lived with a physical disability most of his adult life but never complained. Art and Audrey were always active, whether it was going for their regular breakfasts with their long-time friends Gerald and Gladys Leblue or staying in touch with their extended family with a visit or phone call. Art was born December 6, 1929 in Winnipeg, MB, the oldest of eight children to Pearl and Carl McFee. He was raised on the family farm in Grosse Isle, MB, and attended school there. Art started working for Red River Co-op as a young man driving the fuel truck. He made this his career for 29 years. Art was married to his loving wife Audrey for 58 years, together they raised their son Leslie Arthur McFee. Art is survived by his wife Audrey, and his granddaughter Savannah who was his pride and joy. Art will be fondly remembered by his sisters, Irene Coleman, Pat Appleyard and Shirley King as well as his sisters-in-law Edith McFee, Beverly McFee, Caroline King, Evelyn Hiebert, Gwen Sargent (Eldon), Irene Macmillan; brothers-in-law Harvey Macmillan (Eva), Bruce Macmillan (Audrey), Angus Macmillan (Joan), and numerous nieces and nephews. Art was predeceased by his son Leslie "Les" McFee, brothers Ron and Keith, sisters Betty Lindsay and Ruby Stewart, sister-in-law Julia King, and brother-in-law Gordon Macmillan, along with several other brothers-in-law. Art was an inspiration to all those around him. Art, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle to all we love you and we will miss you! You will be missed dearly and we feel fortunate to have had you in our lives. Memorial Service will be on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
