JUDITH HELEN HOSKING (FROBISHER) July 19, 1958 - April 30, 2015 Peacefully, at the St. Boniface Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer, Judith passed away with her husband George by her side. Judy was predeceased by her parents Harold and Doris Hosking, her close friend Georgette Frobisher, sister-in-law Diane Hosking, and by her beloved kitties Simba and Willow. She will be forever missed by her husband George Frobisher, daughter Jennifer (Dean, kitties Milo and Kiera), son Christopher (Lucy, fuzzballs Teetsie, Hiccup, and Ava), grandsons Anthony and Teagan, brothers Harold and Robert Hosking, nephew Dean Hosking, and many other family members and friends. Judy was born in Winnipeg, spending most of her life in St. Vital. This is where she met her husband George of 40 years, with whom she had two amazing children. Judy dedicated her life to protecting and caring for Jennifer and Christopher; her children were her pride and joy. She loved them with all her heart and remained very close to them throughout her life, always putting their well being before her own. When her grandchildren came along, Judy devoted as much time as she could to them. She cherished every moment she spent with Anthony and Teagan; they made her happy every time she saw them, or talked about them. Judy loved going for rides in the country with George, most of the time ending up at a small-town restaurant or chip stand to grab a bite to eat. When the kids were young, Judy and George would bring them for rides out to the floodway to "drive" the car, on afternoon fishing trips, and to family get-togethers, where they enjoyed many good times. Judy also enjoyed her times just "hanging out" with her brothers, traveling with them to Grand Forks for the annual U.S. shopping trip and the occasional trip with her older brother to her favorite getaway place, Vancouver Island; visiting friends Doug and Tina, Tom and Susan. Family BBQ's at Aunty Mable's and dinners at Monique's were other occasions Judy enjoyed. She knew there would be great food, good company and lots of chips to munch on; junk food and Pepsi were her guilty pleasures. She also had a great love of all animals big and small, especially horses and her kitties; going to the mall with her daughter, playing games on her computer, and just chilling out at home watching her favourite TV shows. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Boulevard, Winnipeg, MB R2J 4J4. Judy remained young at heart; her spirit was strong and remained so throughout her battle with cancer. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to CancerCare Manitoba, Victoria Buhler Cancer Centre, specifically Dr. Chris Ogaranko, Eleanor, and Nurses Karen and Shawna, for the compassionate care they provided for Judy. Judy's love for animals was well known to everyone close to her, if you wish to honour her memory donations can be made to either The Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, R3T 0R3 or Craig Street Cats, 16-1421 St. James Street, R3H 0Y9. "A day will never go by that we don't think of you, miss you, and love you. You filled our hearts with love and now our hearts feel empty. We know you are at peace and we will use this to help us heal. You will be forever by our side and always in our thoughts; we love you more than words could ever express. It's not goodbye; it's see you later." Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
