IVAN JOHANN KRAUPNER November 20, 1929 - May 11, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of husband, Dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather Ivan on May 11 at the age of 85 years. Ivan was predeceased by his sister Jean Bovyn. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Dragica Caroline; his children Gloria Wilson (Al), Sonya Carriere (Marcel), and John Kraupner (Carmelle Gauthier); his grandchildren Nathan, Tiffany (Andrew), Jennifer (Ryan), and Eric (Jamie); his great-grandchildren Jacob, Alexis, Charlotte, Emma, and Alexa; the Bovyn family, and family overseas. Ivan was born on November 20, 1929 in Podsreda, Slovenija, and immigrated to Canada on June 26, 1957. After settling in Winnipeg, he was joined by his wife Dragica and his first child Gloria on November 10, 1958. Throughout his life, he enjoyed the company of his friends from Our Lady of Lourdes R. C. Church, and Sunday picnics at the farm. In addition to spending time with his family and grandkids, Ivan's favourite pastimes included watching hockey at the local rinks, as well as watching wrestling and The Price is Right on T.V. The family wishes to thank the wonderful St. Boniface Hospital staff who made him comfortable. A memorial service and celebration of Ivan's life will take place on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
