REGIS PREFONTAINE January 13, 1973 - May 7, 2015 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Régis Prefontaine at "Hopital générale de Trois Rivieres," Quebec, on May 7, 2015 at the age of 42 years. Règis was born in St. Pierre-Jolys, MB. It's by chance that he met Veronique Busby, the one who would become his wife. In July, 2005, Régis left for Quebec to be with the love of his life. Besides Vero, Régis leaves to mourn his six year old son, Gaël, his stepson Cédrick Tourigny, his mother-in-law, his father Marc (Eva), his mother Simone (nee Arpin), his brother Marcel, his sister Joelle (Paul Gauthier) and their children Cedric, Natalie and Zacharie. He leaves also his uncles and aunts and numerous cousins in the Prefontaine and Arpin families, as well as his relatives and friends from Quebec. Régis lost his battle with cancer, which he fought with integrity and courage until the end. A celebration of his life will be held at the St. Pierre Museum's "cabane à sucre" on May 23 at 4:00 p.m., followed by a camp fire.
