  • Maria it was so nice and special having that last visit with you and Barry. Sitting in your kitchen remembering old times and laughing. Barry always talked about you through the years and your Italian heritage. I think he loved it that you were Italian and always joked about it. I feel so sorry for you and the girls but we know he is now through the pain and in a peaceful place. Duffy - Posted by: duffy hancharyk (friend) on: May 21, 2015

  • Oh how I remember how good your Mom and Dad were to my mother. At Dinner time my Mom never ate, she never had money to feed us all, I found out many years later, that when we ate, she went over to your place and your Mom And Dad gave her dinner. A great family you had, I am sure some of that rubbed off on you And David. Bud Haack - Posted by: George (Buddy) Haack (Old Next door neighbor on Harvard Ave) on: May 21, 2015

  • We have known Barry for many years but it was the knowledge of firearms that was the glue in the relationship between Bud & Barry. There were many long conversations on the phone between them as they shared their stories regarding the sport. These conversations will be sorely missed as will Barry. God rest his soul. - Posted by: Thomas (Bud) and Faye Serofin (long time friends) on: May 19, 2015

  • I would like to pass on my deepest condolences to Marie, Lisa and Gena, on their tragic loss. Barry was a distinctive person with a personality to match. My father shared many stories about Barry and their adventures growing up in Transcona and their summers at the family cottage in Ottermere, Ontario. Barry lived his life to the fullest and on his terms. When Barry’s fate was decided by the disease he faced that with the same determination and courage as he did in life. Rest in peace Barry. - Posted by: Richard Pearson (Nephew) on: May 19, 2015

  • Barry was one of those people that you meet in life that add so much to your enjoyment of it. Might be one of the funniest people I ever met, but Barry was so much more than that. Barry, while not necessarily meaning to be, was a mentor to a large number of his younger colleagues. The most important lesson he passed along was the need to be heard, to stand up for yourself and ask for what it was that you wanted. Barry knew the meek were not going to inherit the world unless they at least made their intentions known. Rest in Peace, Barry. - Posted by: Don Bailey (Former Colleague) on: May 19, 2015

  • My condolence to all the family . - Posted by: Chantal Besson (His barber) on: May 19, 2015
