MURRAY LEVREAULT July 10, 1943 - May 30, 2015 It is with heavy hearts and loving memories that we announce the passing of Murray on May 30, 2015, beloved husband, dad, and pépère, surrounded by his loving family. Left with wonderful memories are his loving wife and best friend of 47 years, Rita; his three children Robert (Lori) of Lac du Bonnet, Henry (Adele) of Winnipeg, and Lisa (Evagelos Niotis) of Calgary; his six precious grandchildren, Shelby, Brittany, Maegan, Alex, Andreas, and Anastasia; his three brothers, Roger (Murielle), Denis (Eliette), and Armand (Elaine); as well as numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Antoinette, brother Richard, and sister-in-law Yvette. Murray was born in Baldur, Manitoba. He came to Winnipeg at a young age, where he worked for the City of Winnipeg, Public Works and Operations Department for 35 years. His family was very important to him, always lending a hand when needed. He was very proud of his children and their achievements. His hugs will definitely be missed. A hardworking man, Murray always took great pride in his home, yard, and garden, keeping things in top shape. He also enjoyed playing pool at the Eagles Club, where he was a long time member. Travelling was also an important part of his life. Before and after retirement in 2001, Murray and Rita visited numerous places, making special memories during trips to Hawaii, Mexico, Las Vegas, Dominican Republic, and cruises, just to name a few. Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to his long time physician Dr. Hayward, and to the W.R.H.A., doctors and nurses from the Victoria Hospital for their excellent care and compassion given to Murray while in their care. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made in Murray's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive, Winnipeg, with Rev. Fr. Kevin Bettens presiding. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Boulevard. Goodbyes are not forever, Goodbyes are not the end, They simply mean we'll miss you Until we meet again. May the wind of Heaven blow softly And whisper in your ear How much we love and miss you And wish that you were here. Murray worked for me out of the South Area yard at 1539 Waverley. We had a lot of good times and got a lot of work. Murray was a hard worker. Good bye my little friend. You will be missed.
