SYLVIA MARIE DUSEIGNE Suddenly on June 5, 2015 our beautiful mother Sylvia Marie Duseigne (née Klypak) was taken into heaven; graduating as an angel. Waiting for her is her beloved husband Arnie and loving sister Orysia. Sylvia was born June 19, 1943 in Ethelbert, Manitoba. On September 3, 1960 she married Arnie Duseigne and went on to raise three loving children in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her mother Polly, and her father Nicholas. The love of her life, Arnie, departed in 2003. Sylvia is survived by her three children; her son Brett (Jacqui), granddaughter Nicole (mother Jennifer); son Dale of Dryden, ON; daughter Donna (Eric), granddaughters Sarah and Dominique of Montreal. She is also survived by her brothers Mike (Nadia) of Kelowna, BC and Walter of Simpson, Saskatchewan; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. For over 25 years she was employed by Anthes Equipment, where she was the first female manager in the history of the company. Sylvia was very involved in the St. Peter's congregation for 50 years. Sylvia was loved by all who knew her. There is no one on the planet who could hug like her. Her beautiful smile would light up a room. She made everyone feel loved and important. Her friendly personality and sincere caring will always be remembered. Mom, we will so miss your daily phone calls, as will your best friend of over 50 years, Marjorie Myk. As per Sylvia's request, there will be no prayer celebration. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Roman Catholic church on Friday, June 12, 748 Keewatin St. with a reception to follow. Also at her request, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place following the reception. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Condolences & Memories (13 entries)

  • I was so saddened by the news. My deepest sympathy to your family. Sylvia was a wonderful friend to our family. I met Sylvia through my parents Jean and Bill Burgess, Anthes Equipment. I still remember visiting and having lunch with her when I was on a business trip to Winnipeg. Her eyes and smile lit up the room as she spoke about her family and working at Anthes Equipment. We had many wonderful conversations on the phone and she offered me great strength when my Mom passed away. No words can ease the pain of losing a loved one but know that she will always be in our hearts. Treasure the memories. Pam - Posted by: Pam Morris (Friend) on: Jul 19, 2015
