Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE RACKHAM (nee EVERAERT) August 5, 1929 - June 24, 2015 On June 24, 2015 at Action Marguerite (Taché), Mom completed her earthly journey, passing peacefully into the arms of Jesus, her Lord and Saviour. Irene was predeceased by her husband John and her brother Cyril. She will be missed by her beloved family: daughter Christine (Stewart), daughter Roxanne (Guy); and son Michael (Tara); grandchildren, Tod, Dave (Lindsey), Taryn (Josh), Daniel (Danielle), Kyle and Katrina; five great-grandchildren, Sydney, Jovi, Nathan, Cohen and Raylene. She also leaves two sisters, Mary and Jeanette (Janet); one brother, Robert and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Winnipeg where she lived her entire life. Her work was mainly in sales. She was active in her church, St. Thomas More Chapel. She enjoyed sharing in numerous spiritual and social activities; including membership, music and general fellowship. She was part of a Bible study group and served as president of the C.W.L. at S.T.M. from 1969 to 1971. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to all the staff at Action Marguerite (Taché) for their care, compassion and kindness to Mom. We appreciate everything you did for her. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc Street, with Father Peter Krasuski officiating. Lunch will follow. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at Glen Lawn Memorial Garden, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Irene's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.

To Christine, Michael, & Rocky, Sorry for your loss, I often thought of your Mom & Dad, I remember some good stories. One of them was those Dam good cookies, I don't know if you know that story, but Ken and I refer to it often through the years. Memories are a treasure. Bye for now, and God Bless.
