Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSITA (ROSE) DALIPANG CLOSAS July 7, 1941 - July 23, 2015 It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected, but peaceful passing of our mother and grandmother on July 23, 2015, at the age of 74 years. Left to cherish her memory are Dominic Closas; her children Jen (Donovan) Tomlinson, Roseleigh (Kelly) LeBleu, Ryan Closas; her beloved grandchildren Keegan and Raeleigh LeBleu and Thane and Trae Tomlinson. Predeceased by her siblings, Catalina Occong Bunga, Lourdes Occong Laylay, Remus Occong Sr, Carmen Occong, and will be sadly missed by Sufrina Occong Paus and Juanita Occong Tahiyam, along with numerous relatives in the Philippines. Rose was born and raised in Bulu, Apayao, Philippines. Her passion of education continues to inspire those in the Philippines as she was the first in Kabugao to achieve a post-secondary education. Those that knew her, were aware of her strong work ethic and consistent message to strive for excellence. She immigrated to Canada in 1968 where she met her husband Dominic Closas, raised three children and enjoyed a fulfilling 30 year nursing career at Misericordia Hospital. She has always been known for her unwavering faith in God, her love of animals, tending to her garden and cheering on her favourite hockey team, the Winnipeg Jets. She loved to travel and fulfilled her dream to experience a trip to Israel, the Holy Land. We have been blessed with family and friends to help us through this very sad and difficult time. We encourage you to cherish your own family and friends and we are thankful for this opportunity to recall our happiest times we have spent together as a family. For every life has a purpose to fill, a purpose which us humans can seldom infer. But she was a gift from heaven, whose purpose was to make this world understand what love, friendship, goodness, and humbleness was all about. Goodness belongs to heaven, and I know she is watching us from there, bestowing her beautiful smile upon us. May her soul rest in peace. Lola Rose, brought so many happy moments in our life and left us with a treasure trove of memories. We will never be able to forget her. We are praying for you in this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace. Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. As hard as it seems, you will get through this difficult time and emerge stronger. We are always around to help you through this trying period. - Posted by: Henscelle Laylay-Amid (Family) on: Jul 29, 2015

Beloved relatives brothers n sisters in Christ, I was also shocked when I heard that Aunt Rose has passed away last week because she seemed to be in good health when they came for vacation 4 months back. But our Christian faith made me understand and face the realities of our existence, that we came from dust and unto dust we shall return anytime. Dear almighty and ever-loving eternal God, I thank U for everything U hav done, everything U are doing and everything U are going to do for us. I humbly ask U to be with us always, forgiv us, our sins and the like. You are our refuge, protector, rescuer and the provider of all our needs. Pls continue to guide us and grant our prayers.Lord, now that aunt Rose is gone from this earthly dwelling and has left us behind who mourn her death, may U give us comfort in our sadness and grant that her memories will hold on and continue to linger in our minds. May aunt Rose inherit also Your kind forgiveness Lord and may U please reward her also the countless blessings of Your eternal heavenly kingdom. In d mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, I pray Amen. - Posted by: Mac Ukkong (Occong) Laylay (Family) on: Jul 29, 2015
