SUZANNE PROULX August 11, 1926 - August 04, 2015 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Nanny, Suzanne Rolande Proulx, on August 4, 2015 at the Saint-Boniface hospital. Suzanne was predeceased by her parents, husband Romeo, four sisters and two brothers. Left to cherish her memory are, her daughter Sheryl (Leonard Lambert); grandchildren Lisa (Bill Hettrick), Gina Lambert (Brad Wery), Trevor (Vanessa Lambert), and her three great- grandchildren, Liam, Caleb and Ciara. She will also be sadly missed by her two sisters and many other family members and friends. Given the nickname Nanny, instead of grandma, by her grandchildren. Nanny can be remembered for her love of Bingo, sweets and the love of spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nanny had a very big heart and was a very devoted grandmother who cherished time spent with her family. Nanny's wishes were that her funeral not be a time of sadness but a time to celebrate her life. Please come with happy thoughts. Respects can be paid at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the St. Malo Parish, in St. Malo, MB. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Aunty Suzanne was an inspiration to me, she took my sister in when she needed a home, and then took me in when I needed one also. She is one of the main reasons that I am a Christian today. They say to (lead by example), and Aunty did that very, very, well! So I hope to follow Jesus the rest of my life, and perhaps one day, I can be an example just like her. I will miss her! but we will meet again:) - Posted by: Marlene Hiebert (Niece) on: Oct 28, 2015

  • My deepest and sincerest condolences to the Proulx family. Just found out about Suzanne's passing and it breaks my heart. Suzanne was a very nice and kind lady. I went and seen her a few times while she stayed in the hospital. Often she would tell me she loved me and I was doing a good job. RIP Suzanne I will miss you - Posted by: Tracy (Friend (homecare)) on: Sep 16, 2015

  • As we were growing up I remember Auntie Suzanne would often come out to St.Malo and visit on the weekends. We had a great time and a lot of fun. It was also fun to go spend time with her in Winnipeg where us kids would head out to the corner store and buy candies. She was a loving person was not one to express anger and was always full of hugs. She will be sadly missed as I thought about her every so often wondering how things were. - Posted by: Doris Penner (Niece) on: Aug 06, 2015
