Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKURT (TWISTER) DAMON LEE SIMARD December 31, 1993 - August 1, 2015 Tragically on Saturday August 1, 2015, our darling angel was taken to his heavenly home to be with all the loved ones who were waiting and preparing a home for him in heaven. Kurt "Twister" Damon Lee Simard was the first born son of Loretta and Curtis "Chico" Simard born on December 31, 1993 and was a big loving brother, Keanu and Kelvin who were his pride and joy; with all his heart he loved his lady, Jessica Turtle, whom will cherish their many years together. Kurty also leaves behind his loving papa and mamma, Charles and Marilyn Simard; and his nanny and papa Corrine and Furlon Barker; grandpa Harley Moneyas plus his great grandmother Mary Jane Simard and in-laws Florence and Kenny Turtle. Hearts will be forever shattered but filled with fond memories by all those who loved him dearly. Though we were only given a short time to share his life on earth, Kurty will also be forever remembered by his uncles, Sheldon, Stan, Rene, Fabian (Clarissa), Elliott, Furlon Jr., Billy, Harley Jr., Kirby; aunties Erika, Regina, Jocelyn, Natasha, Janie, plus numerous cousins, great aunties and uncles and extended family and friends. In heaven, he will be welcomed by his great- grandfathers Alexander Simard, Kenneth Wood, Frank Seymour his great-grandmothers Francis Wood, Julia Seymour and Helma Ross and many great aunts, uncles and cousins; Kurty always said that his cousins Kyle Boulette and Theodore Wood were watching over him and now together they will watch over all of us and protect us from above. Kurty loved life and lived it to the fullest; most of all he loved spending time with his mom, dad, his brothers and his lady, as he lovingly called Jessica. He had so many dreams and aspirations, which he shared with his family all the time, the things he wanted to do and the places he wanted to go. He was a hard worker and enjoyed helping out his papa and momma on the little chores around the homestead. From a young age, he wanted to grow up and get a job and help out his family in any way that he could. As he grew into a young man, he gave his heart to Jessica and took pride in being able to take her places and buy her new things. Many times he would stay at home to protect their home and was beginning to assume the role of the big brother and protector of their home when his dad was away working. He always wanted to protect his family and to help out in any way. When Kurt graduated from Wanipigow School in 2012, that was one of the proudest moment for him and his family, he thought so much of his teachers and Mrs. Barker who always encouraged him to complete his grade 12. Kurt was blossoming into being a talented free style sketch artist as well. Wake services will be held for two nights at his home in Hollow Water and two nights in Manigotogan beginning August 6, 2015. Funeral service will take place at the Manigotogan Rec Centre on Monday August 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. and burial at the Anglican Graveyard in Manigotogan. Viewing to start at 12:00 noon. Rev. Norman Meade officiating. Pallbearers will be his uncles Sheldon, Stan, Rene, Elliott, Furlon Jr., Billy. God Father and uncle Fabian will be carrying the cross and reading the Eulogy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Keanu and Kelvin Simard, Jessica Turtle, Erika Barker, Angel Murray, Justyn and Jeremy Parsons, Linden Simard, Clinton Courchene Kelvin and Shelby Boulette, Cecil Cook. May we all find peace and comfort in one another. The family would like to thank the medical staff at HSC SICU for all of their efforts while they worked tirelessly to help our man Kurty Man.
