HENRI CHARLES WILHELM VAN HUIT It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear father Henri van Huit, on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Vista Park Lodge, at the age of 84 years. He will be deeply missed by his sons Frank, Rob (Tracey) and Trevor, daughters Tanya and Jennifer, and one grandson Tristan. Dad was predeceased by his wife Johanna, son Wim, daughter Yolanda, and his parents. Henri was born and raised in Amsterdam on July 15, 1931. Henri loved going to the lake, fishing, camping, whistling, watching TV and spending time with his furry friends. A gathering will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2015, Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to Vista Park Lodge for their support and compassion. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made in memory of Henri to the Winnipeg Humane Society. I worked many years with Harry at Pan Am Pool. You could always count on Harry to be there and back you up. He was an amazing instructor - everybody I know had Harry as an instructor for a level of a lifesaving class. No one messed with Harry when he was guarding, if he said stop - they stopped.
