MARY MICZALOWSKI (nee KENTZ) With deep sadness, the family of Mary Miczalowski announces her sudden passing at her home in Winnipeg on Friday, August 21, 2015 at the age of 86. Mary was born on the family farm in Hardrock District, Hubbard, Saskatchewan on October 15, 1928 to parents Eva and Andrew Kentz. Mary married Walter (Wally) Miczalowski on October 2, 1949 and moved to Arborg, Manitoba where they operated a dry-cleaning business called Wally's Cleaners, and raised their family. After the sudden passing of her husband in 1981, Mary moved to Winnipeg. Mary deeply loved and valued her family and friends. She was faithful, very generous, and always willing to help others. Mary was a spiritual person who was true to her Catholic faith. She was independent, practical, and self-reliant, painting, fixing things, and using the public transit system to travel in Winnipeg. Mary loved gardening, preserving food, cooking, sewing, and keeping her home in order. Before she retired, she did a great job cleaning homes for others, and was very much appreciated by her customers. Mary is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Teffaine and Jannie Kazimir, sons-in-law Ron Teffaine and Dan Kazimir, grandchildren David Teffaine, Melanie (Marc Lambert) and Nathaniel Kazimir, great-granddaughter Amelia Lambert, her brother Edward Kentz, and her sister Zelma Prokopiw. Mary was predeceased by her brothers John, Walter, and Roman Kentz, as well as her sisters Lena Stoyanowski, Elsie Musyj, Betty Makara, and Florence Yuzwa. Mary was a loving mother who leaves behind family and friends grateful and blessed with the love and care she shared so generously. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Emile's Church, 556 St. Anne's Road, in Winnipeg on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Following lunch, graveside services will be at Hamrlik Cemetery, west of Arborg at 1:30 p.m. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 (Phone 204-949-2000) or a charity of your choice. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
