RIP Jean Marc. Our visits were few but when we had them they were fun. And yes, thanks for that car drive in the beautiful antiquated red convertible. I have pictures to prove it. - Posted by: Denise Jutras Stone (Cousin) on: Sep 02, 2015

Léola Parent - Posted by: Leola Parent (friend) on: Sep 01, 2015

Rest in Peace my friend...it was an honour and a pleasure to work with you and I still miss out on the fun we had...'Johnny knows, look at the nose on Johnny' (as you would point to your nose). I would always come back with a smart remark and you would show me your fist, a smirk and a twinkle in your eye. Whenever I would have a headache, you would say 'a woman with a headache proves she still has a head on her shoulders'. I know you had a love for cars, although you were more into it than I was, I shared it too. How many pictures did I take of your cars with or without you in them? Lots!! I advertised for you. Made my first eBay and PayPal account for you so you could get that Blue Ford Galaxy clock, and something else for your red and white hard-top convertible. I have your picture in your yellow corvette in the Sunflower Parade scrolling on my computer's screensaver and my boys always stop and admire the car before it moves to the next screen. My older boys got to know you a little and always looked for you at the Legend's Car Show in the park. I do admit I had times I was pretty ticked at you leaving me at the heaviest workload, but we made it through and still buddies. Every Christmas I put up this white ceramic gingerbread house that lights up. Every year I tell the boys that Uncle Johnny gave that to me. It is very special to me, although at work we always exchanged gifts, you told me later that you had picked that one especially for me. I have always cherished that and this Christmas I'm sure it will shine a little brighter. I can see you as you entering Heaven's door saying "Here's Johnny" like you would when you would enter my/our office/boardroom. Although you had your problems, you always had encouraging words for me when I was down...I hope you find you peace in heaven and hopefully we can meet for coffee again sometime as I'm sure your ears may have been ringing every time I was in Altona. I always tried to figure out a time in my busy schedule to give you a call and now live with that regret of not picking up that phone to see how you were doing. I always did ask about you though...ask Auntie! Until next time my friend... - Posted by: Joy Tataryn (Family Friend, past Co-op Co-worker) on: Sep 01, 2015

I will always carry the very many memories I have of you.. like coming to show us your restored cars especially the convertible that you let my sister Denise drive & went for a little cruise......that was awesome! My Uncle John worked with my Dad and lived with our family for awhile. I got to know him very well. He was a kind and loving man. He also was very protective. He loved classic cars and he gave my friends and I rides around Lorette - I felt like a queen. He also was the classiest dancer I ever had the pleasure to dance with. I enjoyed watching him dance with my grandmother. He loved to play cards and loved to cheat and get caught - he thought that was hilarious. He was very ill for the past few years and I missed him greatly. I believe he is probably playing a game of chase the Ace with my grandmother, grandfather, my mother and his brother and having a great time! Loved my Uncle John. I will miss him very much.
