Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I met Fe when I was three years old.I lived at 30 Emily St and she lived in the block right next to me.The apartments were both across from HSC then known as Winnipeg General. She and a coworker at the time were very nice to me and taught me my first Filipino Tagalog word "Maganda". They would finish work and see me playing outside and would offer me tamarind to eat, a beautiful treat. When I moved away I always thought of those two nice ladies who said hi to me daily. It wasn't until 1984 when I finished high school and got a summer job at HSC that I ran into her again. It was very nice because I was working there in the food services for a while and struck up a conversation with her which lead to me realizing that she was the same lady who had been so nice to me when I was a little girl.We just hugged...Rest in Peace Fe "Those we Love remain with us,for Love itself lives on.Cherished memories never fade, because a loved one is gone. Those we Love can never be,more than a thought apart. For as long as there is a memory, they’ll live on in our heart." - Posted by: sonia batson (co worker) on: Sep 02, 2015
