Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREYNALDO BUENAFLOR CARTA October 6, 1930 - September 3, 2015 It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Reynaldo Buenaflor Carta announced his passing on Thursday, September 3, 2015, with family at his side, at Seven Oaks General Hospital, Winnipeg, age 84 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Julita, his children Rod (Margie), Jenny (Norbert) and Andrew (Madel), his grandchildren Daryl, Megan, Jane, Nolan, MacKenna, Bryan, Matthew, Elijah, Jeanette, Andrell, Brent, and his sister Tessie San Diego. Also left to mourn are nieces and nephews: Fel, Julius, Rizaldy, Maria, Tita, Nolly, Ralph, Narc, Willy, Manny and Judy from Canada; also other family from the Philippines and USA. Rey was predeceased by his parents Jose and Magdalena, and his brother Benjamin. Rey was born on October 6, 1930 in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, Philippines, but moved to Winnipeg in 1982. He finished his Bachelor of Arts degree at Manuel Luis Quezon University in Manila. He worked as a Community Development Officer in the Philippines and South Vietnam. He also served as a med-arbiter with the Department of Labour and as a trainer for various government programs in the Philippines. He enjoyed travelling and has seen the majority of the provinces in the Philippines and Canada, as well as many states in the USA. He has toured across many countries in Europe and Asia. At his leisure, he also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, playing Chess, and reading. Rey was kind and generous, and cared deeply for his family. He was always ready to lend an ear or give a helping hand to those who needed it. Special thanks to Fel Climaco for always being there for Tatay. Lamay / Viewing will be held at the Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1006 Nairn Ave. on Friday, September 11, 2015 commencing at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 172 Worth St. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB.
