JAMES (JIM) LESLIE FERGUSON 1932 - 2015 Jim Ferguson passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Center on September 5, 2015 in Winnipeg MB at the age of 78. Jim is survived by his wife, Carol Ferguson, his first wife Roberta Ferguson, his children, Son Rob Ferguson, Rob's sons Jim and Sam, Son Sam Ferguson, his wife Susan Ferguson and their son Calvin, Calvin's fiance Rodeleen Reyes and their son (Jim's great-grandson) Leo Connor Ferguson, Daughter Teresa Friesen and her husband Rory Friesen, Teresa and Rory's children Noah, Grace and Gavin, Son David Proulx and his wife Hettie Proulx and their children Christian, Brendan and Danae. He is predeceased by his parents John Ferguson and Jessie Ann James. Words cannot express how much Jim meant to his children, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, his numerous friends and most importantly his wife of 27 years, Carol. Jim was a dedicated husband, father and 30 year employee with The North West Company (Hudson's Bay). It was at the North West Company that Jim develop many close, long term relationships and garnered much respect for all who worked and knew Jim personally. One knew that you were highly respected and loved by Jim if you were on the end of his jokes and insults. Jim loved being outdoors and kept busy with various construction and maintenance projects. Jim was a member of The Fort Garry Horse, an Armoured Reconnaissance unit in the Canadian Army reserve and The Golden Eagle Rod and Gun Club. Jim's dream was to build his own cabin outside of Lac du Bonnet and he accomplished this in early 1990's where he eventually moved with Carol full time after retiring in 1997. Their cabin was their pride and joy and was an amazing showcase to the many talents that Jim had. After making the hard decision to sell the cabin in 2004, they kept "cabin life" in their hearts and moved into a condominium on the shore in the town of Lac du Bonnet, Jim's final home. Jim continued to remain active socially and in a supportive role as president and vice-president of their condominium association where he was an integral participant on many significant upgrades and improvements to condominium. Jim continued to tell jokes, stories and insults with his family and friends at his side in the Health Sciences Center. Our family would like to thank the Beausejour Hospital and the Doctors and Staff in Ward GA4 at the HSC who treated Jim with love, respect and dignity through his final days and hours. Jim wished to have a simple cremation and interment at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

We then got to work together at the company that took over Hudson's Bay Northern Stores {rather not mention the name}.Jim was a good guy to all, he knew where every wire was in the Hudson's Bay House Bldg.
