Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLORIA MAY PAPPIN (nee VACOLA) March 28, 1946 - September 19, 2015 It's with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful, but sudden passing of Gloria Pappin on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at the age of 69 years. Gloria was born in Sudbury, Ontario, March 28, 1946. Gloria worked at Manitoba Telephone System for 31 years. Retiring from MTS she spent her winters in Arizona with her many American friends. There she was kept busy with dancing, day trips, and visits to the casinos. In Winnipeg, she was a member of the Winnipeg Philatelic Society, where she will be remembered and missed by the members. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Joseph and Mary Vacola. Gloria leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband Jerry; stepchildren Heather (Shane) and Bryan (Alexana); brother Gerry (Margit) Vacola; sister Joanne (Raymond) Remillard; nieces and nephews; Kristine (Richard) Stayner, Kevin Vacola, Roberta (Mike) Misonne and their children Imogen and Augustus, Danielle Remillard, Jordan Vacola (Edgar), Aunt Phyllis Clark, Cousin Barbie (Dave) Moons; sisters-in-law Gloria (Jim) Hermanus, and Darlene McEachran. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2015 at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd, Winnipeg. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
