February 16, 1933 - September 24, 2015 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Tatay, on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at the age of 82 years, at Health Sciences Centre. He leaves in mourning, the love of his life, Elsie Gawat; their children: Fely (Erwin) Olazo, George (Jojo) Gawat (Theresa McKenzie); Maritess (Fortune) Tionghoy, Jhun Jr. (Dulce) Gawat, Annaliza (Evert) de Jesus, Mary Ann (Mac) Manicad. He is also survived by his sister Concordia (Ricardo) Ordonio; his brother Romeo (Ella) Gawat, in the Philippines; 16 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Lamay/viewing will be held at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3, commencing at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington St., Rev. Father Rainerio Sarce celebrant.
