JOAN YARECKI (nee ZABOWSKI) November 18, 1937 - October 11, 2015 It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Joan Yarecki at her home at the age of 77 years. Joan will be forever remembered by her daughters Sharon (Martin), Teresa (Rick), Donna (Jim), and Jennifer (Rick), son Jeff (Sheri-Ann), grandchildren Cole, Conner, Hayley, Travis and Autumn. She is also survived by her brother Harold (Violet) and sisters-in-law Theresa and Jeanne. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Daniel, her parents Stanley and Helen and brother Ron. Mom was a prayerful lady whose passion was tending to her meticulous yard and beautiful gardens. She also enjoyed countless hours making perogies with her friends at church. Joan will be missed by many. Divine Liturgy will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church in Cooks Creek with Father Taras Kowch officiating. A private family interment will take place at Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, Cooks Creek or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
