I had the greatest privilege to be Vera's granddaughter, she was an amazing person with a heart of gold. Regardless if you were a friend or family, she made you feel special and always welcome at her house, she will forever hold a spot in my heart, and I will miss her forever. Rest easy gramma, you deserve it. - Posted by: Victoria Kostiw (Granddaughter ) on: Oct 23, 2015

Vera, a great mother, mother-in-law, and Grandmother. Not a day went by that we did not speak to her, either by phone or dropping by her house. Hearing her favourite phase "You're a Schmuck" put smiles on our faces. She was a beautiful person. A person who always put you first. A person who would always make you feel at home. A person who would be there for you. A person who would never let you leave empty handed. A person who will be missed dearly. A person who will be loved forever! - Posted by: Florey Kostiw (Daughter inlaw) on: Oct 23, 2015

Words cannot express how incredibly lucky I was to be Vera's granddaughter. She was the most amazing, loving, kind, and caring woman I've ever known. Her sense of humor always had me laughing until my tummy hurt or tears streamed down my face. I'll never forget how full of life she was or how her positivity continuously cheered me up. The endless amounts of love and support she gave me throughout my entire life will forever stay with me. Nothing could ever come close to replacing the special bond that we had. She will be forever missed and never forgotten. - Posted by: Lauren Ruhr () on: Oct 23, 2015

Vera was a wonderful lady, caring, loving person. Giving unrelentlessly of herself to family and friends. Her love for her family was ever present, especially when it came to her grandchildren. It was a privilege and honour to know this beautiful lady. - Posted by: Ken Ruhr () on: Oct 21, 2015
