WILLIAM (BILL) H.A. EARLY The family announces with heavy hearts, the peaceful passing of Bill, surrounded by the love of his family, after a brief illness on October 19, 2015 at the Pinawa Hospital. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Anne (nee Slota) of 54 years; children, Melody (Colin) Spence, Brent (Bev), Blaine (Rhonda); and six grandchildren, Ainsley, Emily, Breanna, Brad, Bret and Miranda; brother Doug (Delores); sister Maureen; and sister-in-law Barbara. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Helen; and brother Grant. Bill was born on September 10, 1940 and lived most of his life in Transcona. He was employed by the City of Winnipeg Transit for 32 years, retiring as Transportation Supervisor in 1995. He had also been involved with hockey in Transcona for many years, as well as 10 pin bowling. Upon retirement, Bill and Anne moved to Pinawa where he enjoyed golfing. They also became snowbirds, spending their winters in Weslaco, Texas. Thank you to Dr. John Rabson, the staff of ICM and 5E at St. Boniface Hospital for all their care. Special thanks to the staff at Pinawa Hospital for their kindness and compassionate care of Bill and our family. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with a reception to follow at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Parish, 100 Yale Avenue East at Day Street in Transcona.
