VERA VIOLA KOSTIW (nee LIEBRECHT) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Vera, on October 18, 2015 at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 88 years. She was predeceased by her husband Steve, nephew Leslie, sister Erma, brother Herb and parents Chris and Lydia. Vera will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by daughter Heather, son Perry (Florey), grandchildren Kyle (Val), Joel (Jennie), Lauren, Lee and Victoria. Mom moved to Winnipeg where she met Steve. They were married for 36 years. Her happiest times were spent with her family. • My mother, my friend. You formed the person I am today by example of the life you led. If I was down, you would listen and advise and say " there are people worse off than you". A simple statement, but one that showed her true spirit of appreciating what you have. This has shaped my kids through the time they spent with you. I feel a pain that has never been felt before. With the help of family and friends, I will move forward , but never forget. Good bye my friend my mother. - Posted by: Perry Kostiw (Son) on: Oct 27, 2015

  • Heather and Family, So sorry to read about the loss of your Mom. I remember her fondly, how she was always welcoming and very forgiving about the mess we made with her Avon samples. She was always so proud of you and your brother, and never had a harsh word for anyone. What a wonderful example she was for you and your friends. May your memories of her keep her close in your heart. Take Care, Roberta & Family. - Posted by: Roberta (Rowe) McFarlane (School friend of Heather) on: Oct 24, 2015
