URSULA PSOCH (nee LUDOWIG) Ursula Psoch passed away suddenly Monday, October 19, 2015 in Winnipeg at the age of 71. She is survived by her children George (Carla), Nicole (Patrick) and Belinda (David); grandchildren Tyler (Samantha), Tyson, Giselle (Shaun) and Monique. She was predeceased by her husband Manfred in 2013. Ursula was born January 16, 1944 in Unna, Germany to Rudolf and Maria Ludowig. In 1960 she married Manfred and in 1965 they immigrated to Canada where they raised their family. First settling in Great Falls, then to Gillam, retiring in St. George and eventually after the passing of Manfred, she moved to Winnipeg to be closer to her family. In the early years in Gillam she worked at Manitoba Hydro Kettle Camp, CN Beanery and the Manitoba Hydro Staffhouse. She spoke fondly of the years there and of the people she had worked with and met. In the 80's she decided to pursue her love and talent of cooking and opened up Ursula's Enterprise in the Gillam Rec Center. She was well known for her delicious food, amazing catering and wonderful hospitality. In addition to her culinary talents, she was the drummer in a band with Manfred and their friends. She knitted and crocheted many afghans and handcrafted items that will be forever cherished by her family. She grew large fruit and vegetable gardens and her cold room was packed from floor to ceiling with all the canning and preserving she did. She spent hours in the woods, berry picking. Ursula loved animals and showered all the family pets with affection and they loved her in return. She liked to socialize and loved to dance. She had a wonderful laugh that was contagious, and we will miss that. We would like to thank the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service and Winnipeg Police for their kindness and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a memorial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to an animal rescue of your choice. We won't say goodbye, we will say see you later. We love you Mom. For online condolences, please log onto www.mosaicfunerals.ca 1839 Inkster Blvd. 1006 Nairn Ave. 204-275-5555

To Ursula's family, Edgar and I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Mom. She was a special lady and a very dear friend to me. I will miss our phone chats and her one of a kind joie de vivre laugh. Everything she did, she did from her heart. She was a generous, kind person who always had a hug for you. There was never a dull moment when Ursula came over to visit, or even just talking on the phone. Ursula and Fred were more than neighbors to us, they were our extended family and they are missed.
