ERNA L. REID Peacefully, with family by her side, Erna passed away at Park Manor Care Home on October 23, 2015 at the age of 101 years. She was predeceased by her husband Henry (1979), sisters Olive, Lottie and Clara, and brothers Alfred, Gustav and Tofel. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Sharon (John) and son Duncan (Sandra); five grandchildren Cheryl (Axel), Karen (Ludger), Jennifer (David), Todd (Renelle) and Tricia (Keith); along with 10 great-grandchildren, and good friend Marie. Erna was born in Gretna, MB in 1914 and married Henry in 1937. Mom enjoyed bowling, reading, playing cards, travelling and family time at the cabin at Gull Lake. She cherished the special Christmas dinners with extended family at Beverly's with Bob and Pat. A celebration of Erna's life will be held on Thursday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., with Pastor Ed Grant officiating. A special thank you goes out to all the staff at Park Manor for their exceptional kindness, compassion and care. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Manor Care Home, 301 Redonda St., Winnipeg, MB R2C 1L7. Dear Sharon, our sincere condolences on the passing of your Mother. We didn't know here very well, but when we did meet always enjoyed her company, she was a lovely lady and always had great conversation with her.
