Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPACITA VIADO MARANAN With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Pacita Maranan, age 85, on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at St. Joseph's Residence, with family by her side. Pacita was predeceased by her husband Eulogio Maranan, and sons Juanito and Eufronio Maranan. Her memory will be cherished by her children Wilfredo (Puring), Rosie (Sammy) Ilag, Lita (Onnie) Rutaquio, Dory (Tony) Capucion, Remy, Mike (Dina), Anally (Gid) Lozano, Jimmy (Liza), Ruel (Lorna); along with 25 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Pacita was born on August 6, 1930, in Mendez, Cavite, Philippines. She moved to Winnipeg along with her family in 1987, and with her charisma, devotion to prayer, and healing touch, she gained the trust and respect of many in the community. She enjoyed many years of caring for her grandchildren and she loved unconditionally. She will always be our symbol of strength and courage. Lamay will be held on Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 16 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. Interment will follow in the Philippines. A special thank you is extended to the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Joseph's Residence Inc. for their kind care.
