Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWAYNE STEVEN HAWRYSH 1949 - 2015 With great sadness we announce that after two years and double overtime Wayne succumbed to cancer at the age of 66 years. His wife, Nancy, and their two children were with him on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at St. Pierre Jolys Palliative Care suite, St. Pierre, MB. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy; son Steven Hawrysh (wife Willow) and their children River and Dylan; daughter Shayna Cockle (husband Troy) and their children Taryn, Nathan and Matthew. Wayne is also survived by two brothers Ed (Cathy), Ray (Kathy) and their daughter Cassie; two sisters Janice Johanson (partner Gord) and her son Eric, and Alexis Hawrysh, as well as all of his friends throughout the hockey community. A celebration of Wayne's life will be held in the Spring of 2016, at his beloved Rocky Lake. This obituary may also be viewed at www.hemauerfuneralhome.com

A true friend and fishing buddy that played an important role in my life by introducing me to Friendly Manitoba. Without him and Nancy sharing their home and love my life would never have been as complete as it is now. I speak for many when I say that there will be a major void in all our lives without Him here on earth. With a heavy heart and tears in my eyes I can honestly say that we all lost A Great One.
