HELEN PAPPEL (MARTENS) After a long and full life, with our hearts filled with sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of our treasured Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother on November 5, 2015. Helen is survived by her daughter Carol (Leonard), her daughter-in-law Marilyn, her grandchildren Trevor (Jennifer), Ryan, Jodi (Shale), Rachelle (Eugene) and Andrea (Randy) and her precious great-grandchildren Matthew, Hailey, Julia, Meadow, Sari, Dessirae, Brianne, Colby, Liam, Tyrelle and Presleigh. Helen was predeceased by her husband Norman and her two sons, Dale and Larry. Helen's greatest joy was her family. She was known for her amazing cooking and baking, especially her pies and "perfect" brown bread. She brought the family together with the smells of her kitchen. This brought great joy into her life. All our cherished and very special memories will be held close to our hearts and forever remembered. We would like to thank the very passionate staff at Tuxedo Villa for their loving care of Helen in her last few years. A special thank you to friends and family for all your love and support. There will be a celebration of Helen's life on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (15 Second Street) in Emerson, Manitoba. Wiebe Funeral Home Altona Ltd.
