I don't have many memories of my grandmother but the ones I do have of her involve mostly sleeping on her bed when I was at least five, she was very nice to me and my sister and I miss her sometimes I love her so much and I don't really speak about her and my feelings much but she was an alright woman. - Posted by: Asher (Great-grandson) on: Aug 27, 2024

I had been in search of my best friend in grade 6 with no luck but had thought of Mrs Carr a lot recently and so sadly I found her here. How sweet and gentle she was. I also was her student from St Edwards and will never forget her smile! Reading her obituary I find she had an amazing life story! She actually inspired me to not only love and write poems, she also made sure we would all be creative in art work and I still have my huge scrapbook with the art projects in it. After the strictness of grade 5 Sister Rabbnit I was so thrilled to have this beautiful gentle soul in my days! I wish I could add my class picture on here. I wanted to share my special admiration and love I had for Mrs Carr. It’s always hard to see your loved one pass from this life, but the family I’m sure, can be at peace knowing she was a believer of Jesus and is in His loving arms! My sincere condolences to the family and all who loved her! God’s peace and rest Mrs Carr, love Ada (Da Costa) Taylor - Posted by: Ada (Costa) Taylor (Student -Grade 6 St Edwards) on: Oct 28, 2021

Anne was a friend of my mother Dorothy McKillop who also lived in the St. Norbert Care Home. My mother passed away 7 years ago, but I continued to visit Anne. We had wonderful visits together; she shared many of her poems and stories with me. It was a shock to me when I returned from visiting family in Calgary and went to visit Anne only to learn that she had passed away. She was a treasure, and I will never forget her. Rest in peace, Anne. - Posted by: Judy Roehle (Friend) on: Nov 16, 2015

There are so many amazing things about my grandmother. She was kind, caring, diligent, hard working, utterly talented, extremely gifted, had a most valuable breadth of experience in all sorts of things; and was ever determined to always move forward in life. She taught me many, many things and my greatest gifts are inherited from her. The most important though was how to get on with life when something knocks you down, and to always keep faith. She was always compassionate and forgiving of me and those around her. She never lost her wonderment and enthusiasm. She was endlessly proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be sorrowfully and deeply missed. She was my best friend and inspiration, and life without my Grimsby is unimaginable, yet here we are. She wants us to be happy. She loved all of her friends and students. Thank you to those who have passed on their memories and condolences. I love to see who loved my wonderful grandmother. I'll love you forever Grandma, just like I'd tell you all the time. ~When nobody else could love me, When I was lost in the wind, I would run to Grimmy, She'd love me whole again.~ Your Seraph-Eden - Posted by: Seraph-Eden Carr Boroditsky (Granddaughter) on: Nov 13, 2015

Mrs. Carr was my Grade 6 teacher at St. Edwards School in 1972-73. She was a wonderful person and equally wonderful teacher. Although I haven't seen her in over 40 years, I've often thought about her and have warm memories. - Posted by: Michael Kulczycki (Friend & former student) on: Nov 12, 2015

I met Anne when my mother Yolande Genthon became a resident of St. Norbert Care Home. They sat at the same table and I was often there helping my mother. It was such a pleasure to have Anne for company with my Mom. My mom's eyes would light up whenever we struck up a conversation (my mom could not speak much). She would listen intently and smile. After my mom passed away I continued visiting Anne during hymn sing on Sundays. I counted on her beautiful voice to help carry the tune. My heart was struck with grief on the last Sunday. She knew she was in her final days here on earth and was looking forward to the end of her journey. I kissed her cheek and held Jesus (host) against her heart. She smiled and thanked me as I left the room crying, giving her a wave goodbye. Thank you Anne for letting me be a part of your journey and you a part of mine. - Posted by: Yvonne Roberts (Friend visitor at St. Norbert Care Home ) on: Nov 11, 2015
