GARRY ALEXANDER THOM May 4, 1949 - November 6, 2015 It is with great sadness and peaceful hearts that we announce the passing of Garry Thom on Friday, November 6, 2015 at the age of 66 years. He was predeceased by his devoted wife Carol Thom; and his father George Thom. Garry is survived by his mother, Jean Thom (Winnipeg); sons Gerry (Marina) and Richard (Amy) Thom; grandchildren Ashley, Alexa, Penny, Sierra, Colby, Cheyenne, Jodyicy, Chase, Kalianna, Irelynn and Anna; and great-grandson Cassius. Garry is also survived by his brother Jack (Doreen) Thom; sister Darlene (Bob) Solvason; as well as lots of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Garry was born and raised in Winnipeg where he met the love of his life, Carol. Together they built a life of happiness and laughter. Garry's career took him to Regina, where he developed lifelong friendships with people who shared his love of the outdoors and hunting. Garry's love for fishing, hunting and his cabin consumed his life before he fell ill. After a lengthy and courageous battle he is finally back in the arms of his loving wife. The family would like to give a huge thank you to the staff at the Salvation Army William Booth Special Care Home and Dr. Rassmussan for their exceptional love and care while Garry was in their care. A Memorial Service will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 East, Regina, SK on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Garry may be made to the STARS Regina Base, 2640 Airport Road, Regina, SK S4W 1A3 or William Booth Special Care Home, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6.
