Born: Sep 13, 1944
Date of Passing: Nov 17, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWYLLEA JO-ANNE MIKLIECHUK (LAWSON) September 13, 1944- November 17, 2015 With great sadness we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Wyllea Jo-Anne Mikliechuk at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. Wyllea passed peacefully with her daughters by her side. In her pragmatic fashion, mom prepared her own obituary as follows: I've lived many seasons of sweet memories and my life has been touched by so many others. I will dearly miss my husband, Ted; and my daughters, Lori and Marjorie, who have made me so proud. My grandchildren, Hannah, Jace and Joe, who have been the highlight of my later years. My favourite son-in-law, Jason who became the son I never had. My brother, Jack and his daughters, Sherrie and Cindy and their families. My sisterin-law Ev and her daughters, Pat and Bonny and their families. Also, my uncles and many cousins. I have treasured memories with my old friends, Lynda Stevens, Sandy Pilgrim, and Jude McMullan and my new friends at Fred Douglas Place. Wyllea was predeceased by her parents William and Marjorie; sister-in-law Norma, her brother-in-law Dan and her dear friend, Cora Ramos. I want to leave you with something, better than words or sounds. Look for me in the people I have known and loved. And if you cannot live without me, then let me live in your eyes, Your mind and your acts of kindness. You can love me the most by letting hands touch hands. Love does not die, people do. So when all that is left of me is love. Give me away. A celebration of life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home at 4000 Portage Avenue on Saturday, November 21 at 10:00 a.m. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. I was "allowed" to call Wyllea "Willy" and always fondly think of her by that name, remember going to her and Teddy's wedding years ago and remember her moving to Pine Falls to work at the mill office. Personally I left Winnipeg in 1987 so only saw Ted and Willy once after at a funeral in Winnipeg on one of our trips east from BC. Rest in peace, love...no more aches and pains. - Posted by: Elaine Lattimore (previously Beaton or Lavallee) (old friend from1960s Pine Falls days) on: Nov 19, 2015

Wyllea and I were "joined at the hip" all through high school. She was so much fun and so"cool", I thought. We had so many laughs. I saw Wyllea again in 2002 or 2003 and again in 2011 at the Tec-Voc high school reunion. It was wonderful seeing her again after all those years and she was the same funny girl I remember! My deepest sympathies to her family and it was a shock to learn of her passing. - Posted by: Olga (Stefanowicz) Russell (Tec-Voc High School pall) on: Nov 19, 2015

My most sincere condolences to Ted who I knew growing up in Lac du Bonnet. I did not know Wyllea but I know the sense of loss when you grieve the loss of a loved one. It was a pleasant experience to touch base with Ted this summer and renew memories of the past. The years just melted away because we remembered the same people and the same happenings. I hope that the sadness of Wyllea's passing will be softened with many happy memories of the years the family shared.
