Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREW PETER KOMHER June 15, 1931 - November 16, 2015 Peacefully, with his wife at his side, Andrew Komher passed away at the age of 84. He is survived by Virginia, his wife of 59 years, daughters Kim Sauder (John), Suzanne Gendron (Bill), and son Kerry (Vicki), and the joys of his life, grandchildren Kyle and Karlee Gendron and Krysten and Katie Komher. Andy is also survived by his two sisters, Helen Komher and Sonia Borowski. He was predeceased by his father Harry and mother Annie, and three brothers and three sisters. Andy was born near Mears, MB on a farmstead nestled against Riding Mountain Park near Rossburn, MB. Andrew came to Winnipeg in 1950. He began his career at Manitoba Telephone System where he worked for 25 years. He then moved on to the Manitoba Government where he retired as Director of Telecommunications and Postal Services. Dad's enjoyment and passion was spending time by the backyard pool, upgrading the cottage at Big Whiteshell Lake, picking blueberries, cherishing lake views and family times. In his younger years he dedicated his time to coaching the kids, helping at the church, and renovating homes. He treasured gatherings with extended family members including many nieces and nephews, as well as the company of many close, valued friends. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the efficient emergency and 5th floor staff at Grace Hospital and also to the staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge. It is Andrew's wish not to have a service, but to have a private family gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of MB, MS Society of Canada, or Alzheimer's Society of MB. Your memory is our keepsake, With which we'll never part. God has you in His keeping, We have you in our hearts. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 204-885-9715

Such a great Uncle, I was flower girl at his wedding, he gave the toast to the Bride at my wedding! We always seemed to have something special! Always teased me and I always have a fond smile on my face when I think of him! - Posted by: Janice (Guilcher) on: Nov 22, 2015
