THERESA JOYCE GUIMOND It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend, Theresa Joyce Guimond on November 23, 2015. Joyce was born on November 20, 1945. She was predeceased by her parents, William George and Genevieve Guimond (nee Fontaine), siblings Evelyn, Richard, Lawrence, Felix, Frances, Alphonse, and Jeanette, and in-laws Arthur and Linda. She is survived by her son Trevor Guimond, grandson Zander Bird, and siblings Francois (Lena), Dennis (Kathleen), and Elizabeth (Robert), brother-in-law Victor Courchene, and numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce devoted her life to helping others, especially her mother. She also helped in raising a number of nieces and nephews. She loved family get-togethers and enjoyed the time spent with everyone. She held a special affection for her grandson Zander. Another quality of Joyce's was her memory and she always liked to share memorable stories about family. To us, she was the family historian. She will be dearly missed by all. Wake services will be held at Gloria Spence's house on North Shore Road starting Tuesday evening, November 24, 2015. Funeral will be held on Friday, November 27 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Trevor Guimond, Jonathon Guimond, Justin Courchene, Kurt Guimond, Eric Hansen and Adam T. Fontaine. Cross bearer will be Aaron Guimond. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Dialysis units in Pine Falls Hospital and Selkirk General Hospital, Sagkeeng Homecare Support Services, and her homemaker Melissa Guimond.
