CAYDEN JAMES DEETON
Born: May 06, 2010
Date of Passing: Dec 01, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCAYDEN JAMES DEETON Born May 6, 2010 - Passed December 1, 2015 Cayden James Deeton, our "Monkey-Butt", was granted his angel wings on December 1, 2015, following a lifelong battle with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy resulting in Severe Cerebral Palsy. He passed suddenly, but peacefully, at home in his sleep. His final days were spent surrounded by his family and CFL Cheerleaders and players, enjoying the Santa Claus Parade and also seeing his home lit by an extensive Christmas display. Cayden had touched so many lives in a huge way during his short yet very memorable life, one of his big lessons being that the quality far exceeds the quantity of time we spend on Earth. His big, beaming smile and giggle would melt the hearts of those around him. Although Cayden's illness presented many challenges, he possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds. With his courage, he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. He loved being surrounded by family and being out and about, attending every parade and festival possible, especially if there were fireworks involved. He could spend hours giving "Cayden Cuddles" reading a book or watching his favourite TV shows, movies, sports or home videos. Cayden loved swimming, the arcade, and he very much enjoyed learning and playing with other children, especially his kindergarten classmates. He most enjoyed singing and dancing, often laughing hysterically through action songs. Although he was protective of Uncle, anyone who knew Cayden knew he was a big bully. To get him to smile, all you had to do was get hurt! His mischievous giggle would make you forget the pain you were in. He loved spinning, going fast and the rougher the play, the better. He often joined in family tickling wars, wrestling matches and pillow fights! Cayden seemed to be a magnet for people and therefore, special opportunities: attending the zoo, several Goldeyes games, a Bomber's practice (even though he was Rider's fan!), a Jet's game and so many others. Wherever we went, Cayden had a very special experience whether it was adding another friend or receiving special items. With Cayden's passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, he will forever remain in our hearts. Cayden is survived by his loving parents, Bobbi and Ross Bottle and Jesse Deeton, sisters Alexis, Isabelle, Laura and Zooey, grandparents Jean and Joe Sopel, Wes and Debbie Zimmer, Elizabeth Van Dam, and William and Sandra Bottle, his wingman Uncle Daryl and his large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Cayden also leaves behind many wonderful, special people, too numerous to mention, who provided Cayden with love, support and enhanced his and our quality of life. He joins his friends and family in the big playground in the sky. There will be a celebration of life Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Khartum Shriners Centre, 1155 Wilkes Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honour may be made to any of the many charities Cayden was involved with. Arrangements in the care of Rock Fontaine (204-223-2576)

Many hugs from our family to yours at this most emotional time. We can't imagine all the feelings you must be facing as you face family and friends. As I read the obituary I could clearly see Cayden was such a joy, inspiration and blessing to your lives. The few times that we saw him, you could see his smile light up the room. I'm most positive that the love and care you gave him was everything he needed in his experience here on earth❤️ May you always feel his warm playful energy everywhere you go, and find amazing peace in your hearts! I knew Cayden for a short, but memorable time. I looked forward to seeing him, hearing his laugh, making him smile and laugh, and him making me smile and laugh in return. I always looked forward to hanging out with him at family dinners, playing together, doing some drumming together, or just making ridiculous faces together. Even though we only got to hang out one on one just once, I will always remember getting some "Cayden cuddles" of my own while watching Toy Story 1, his laugh to the parts where Sid blew up his toys with explosives and then dancing with him to "you've got a friend in me". His completely genuine joyful life made my life brighter, and I'm grateful for that. - Posted by: Ella Steele (Cousin ) on: Dec 05, 2015

We often hear that God picks the best flowers and Cayden will certainly make the bouquet bright and sweet. It has been a blessing to follow Cayden's short life thru his parents' eyes, and though we didn't have the pleasure of meeting him personally, I know that we would have loved him. His infectious smile, his playful antics with his family, the perserverence he had in all things...a remarkable young lad! - Posted by: Andre & Lorna Berube (Family friend) on: Dec 05, 2015

Although I never got the pleasure of meeting Cayden in person, I feel I got to know him through the many many pictures that were shared by Bobbi and Ross. Cayden's love of life and people was very clear through the videos and photos of him! We give our deepest condolences to his family, parents and siblings, friends and workers. Cayden is a shining star and will no longer have to have pain. Have fun in that big playground in the sky. Thank you for lighting up my Facebook with your smiles Love Kyla - Posted by: Kyla massey (Friend) on: Dec 05, 2015
