FERMINA TOLENTINO Peacefully on December 1, 2015 with her family at her side, Fermina "Mining" Tolentino, at the age of 82 joined her Creator. She was born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on January 12, 1933. She dedicated herself in serving the Lord and in helping her oldest sister Jovita Agpalza to raise Jovita's children in San Agustin, Isabela. Mining migrated to Winnipeg in 1997 to join Jovita and her family where she quickly became Grandma Mining to numerous grandnephews and grandnieces. Mining was predeceased by her parents Fernanda and Jesus Tolentino; siblings, Jovita Asuncion Agpalza and Camilo Asuncion (Guam); nieces, Fe Agpalza Ebora and Laura Agpalza Ledger. She will be dearly missed by her loving sister Cresencia Asuncion of Toronto, Ontario; Cresencia's children, Edna (Patricio) Domingo of Hawaii, Odette Asuncion of Ontario, Dolly (Rene) Domingo of California, Edgar (Mel) Asuncion and Zoilo (Nanette) Asuncion both of the Philippines; nieces and nephews in Winnipeg: Annie Agpalza, Flavy (Bernadette) Agpalza, Ezra (Sita) Agpalza, Alicia (Robert) Pogson, Allen (Alicia) Agpalza, Hester (Lito) Taruc; Janet (Gabby) Sangalang of Orlando, Florida and numerous grandnephews and grandnieces, especially her favorite grandniece Jovy May Taruc. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the medical team at Grace Hospital, Pastor Bruce Martin of Calvary Temple, and Pastor Junie Josue of IWC-International Worship Centre. Viewing/Lamay will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015, 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with a Service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1006 Nairn Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba.
