Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGREGORY MICHAEL RATTAI December 4, 1964 - November 19, 2015 Greg peacefully passed away November 19, 2015 in Grand Prairie, Alberta. Greg will be lovingly remembered by his mother Ruth Mann; sister Laurie (Guy); brother Leslie and nephews, Rick (Jacque), Brandon, Bradley; nieces Kayla and Selena. Greg was born in Beausejour, MB and grew up in Whitemouth. He moved to Winnipeg and spent a number of years working at North American Life. When the company left Winnipeg, Greg took a computer course to stay close to home. Eventually he moved to Alberta and tried out a few different careers. We all have different journeys, different paths along the way. We are all meant to learn some things... But never meant to stay. Our destination is a place far greater than we know. For some the journey is quicker and for some the journey is slow. Greg will be dearly missed. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

I was aggrieved today though Greg and I had lost touch over the last few years, we had always been there for each other when we needed a real friend. Having found out this past week that my mother has cancer I reached out to Ruth to see if she knew how to get a hold of Greg. I wish I could have been there to hug you when you told me Ruth my deepest condolences to you and your family. Greg was very thoughtful and sincere and he introduced me to bands like the Trewes May you rest in peace and keep listening to the music I will miss you so much more now that you're gone. - Posted by: Lisa Borysiuk (Short-term girlfriend long time friend) on: Apr 01, 2018

I was deeply saddened today when I learned of Greg's passing. Although I had lost touch with Greg over a decade ago, he had been a good friend of mine for the 15 years prior. During the years I knew him, Greg had been a co-worker, a friend, a room mate and a neighbour of mine. He was always good company and fun to spend time with. I will cherish memories of the thoughtful conversations I shared with Greg and the many late nights we spent playing computer games. Rest in peace my old friend. I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Greg's family - a very sad loss. - Posted by: Christopher Coyne (Friend) on: Dec 16, 2015

I'm so very sorry to hear the about the passing of Greg. Greg was a very good friend of Dean and mine. When I met Dean, he was living with Greg and Ron. We were all very good friends for many years. Unfortunately life takes all of us in different directions and we lose touch. My heart is so very heavy right now. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Greg, you were a kind and funny guy who gave us so many laughs and memories... - Posted by: Lisa Laliberte (Svienson) (Friend, was married to Dean Svienson) on: Dec 13, 2015
