Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES (TODD) JEFFRIES October 17, 1962 - December 4, 2015 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our brother Todd Jeffries on December 4, 2015 in Winnipeg, at the age of 53. He was predeceased by his father James Jeffries, mother Jean Jeffries and brother Jack Jeffries. He will be deeply missed by brothers Jerry (Pam), Tom (Linda), nieces Laura, Robin and Christa, nephews James and Mark and many dear friends. He will be remembered for his quick wit and odd sense of humor. He was not always the most agreeable person but was always there for others. There will be no service by his request. A gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in his memory to Buhler Cancer Centre, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, Manitoba, V3T 2E8. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of his doctors, care providers and friends for their care and support during his illness. I was saddened to come across this notice of Todd's passing. I never met him but we seem to have been in Winnipeg at the same time - I living nearby in Osborne Village and working at the University of Manitoba. I found Todd because I am looking for descendants of his Scottish grandfather, John Keir. I can only speculate at this point, but John Keir may also have been my own father's father (before he emigrated to Canada in 1921). I have information on his ancestry that I'd be pleased to share with any of Todd's living relatives who may be interested. I'd very much like to connect with his brothers Jerry and Tom, and their families (or with their Keir cousins in Sudbury).. I have also lived and worked in Alberta and in Winnipeg. Hope this reaches some interested family or friends of Todd.
