I have lost a sister, a dear friend, a strong supporter, a partner to share lots of laughs and memories. However, I have gained 2 new daughters, 2 sons-in-law, 4 granddaughters and 2 dogs. I can just imagine the reunion of Lynne with Brant, her mom, dad, sister Barb, brother Mike, brother-in-law Mo. May they all rest in peace and look down upon with love and guidance. - Posted by: Bev Bauche (Benson) (Sister) on: Jan 04, 2016

For many years, the Heywoods were my closest neighbours on Waterloo Street. I recall with such fond memories, waiting for Brant to return from the four corners of the world, where he regale me with stories of his coverage of major sporting events. True to his generous nature, he always had a jacket, ball cap or t-shirt from said sporting event, that to this day, remain some of my most cherished possessions. He loved to throw the baseball around, occasionally one of his girls would join in, and then we'd head into his house where Lynne provided the coffee, snacks and lively conversation. After Brant's untimely passing, my year would not have been complete until I received a long letter from Lynne with an update on her girls and their families. I will miss those letters. My annual Christmas call to Lynne was a further highlight of another year's end. I will miss those calls and Lynne's upbeat nature. To Jennifer and Leslie, may family, friends and faith sustain you with the knowledge that Mom and Dad have been reunited. I worked with Lynne at St. Mary's Academy for many years. She was a very caring person. I remember when Grant passed away and how she handled her situation with such grace and fortitude. St. Mary's was fortunate to have such a loyal and lovely Admin Assistant. I was very sorry to hear of her passing. - Posted by: Louisa Ryz (Co-worker at St. Mary's Academy ) on: Dec 29, 2015

Lynne Heywood is close to my heart as a kind and warm next door neighbour who was ever present, as I grew up in Winnipeg. She raised two wonderful and inspiring daughters who were so strong when their beloved father passed, and will continue to thrive as they walk through another difficult stage in life. Thinking of Leslie and Jen with love from the Moffatt's. - Posted by: Karen (next door neighbour on Waterloo Street) on: Dec 24, 2015

When my brother left Ireland to marry the love of his life in Canada I knew how much leaving his family would mean to him. And then I met Lynne and I knew he would be ok. Her love and kindness to all was something we could all learn from. Love to all Jackie o leary - Posted by: jackie o leary (sister of Kevin ,son in law to Lynne) on: Dec 24, 2015
