ELVI KATHLEEN HILDURI VELEY August 1, 1934 - December 4, 2015 With her family by her side, Elvi peacefully slipped away to her eternal home in heaven. Left to mourn this sudden loss are her daughters Joan Veley, Glenda Ploegman (Derek), Corinne Robinson (Dave), as well as eight grandchildren: Rae-Ann, Melissa, Kristen (Trevor), Stephen, Naomi, Jaimie, Daniel, Roselyse, and one great-grandson. Predeceased by her husband Clifford; her parents, Hjalmer and Hilja Hauta; brother Lawrence, and sister Miriam. Born on a farm near Birsay, SK, upon the death of her father, she moved with her mother to Thunder Bay, ON where she met Clifford and they married June 1956. In 1973 the family moved to Winnipeg and made it their home. A celebration of life will be held at Calvary Temple in the Buntain Chapel, 11:00 a.m., December 29, 2015 with a viewing 30 minutes prior to service. The interment to follow at Mennonite Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Temple Camp.
