Following 97 years well lived, maman's final lottery numbers were called amidst New Year's fireworks and beloved memories: a childhood on the farm at Mariapolis, family homes on rue Hébert and rue Bétournay, her love of the great outdoors and many years of career service at l'Hôpital Saint-Boniface. Her friends and family will forever remember her love of dancing, playing 500 (cinq cents), rummy, bingo, family vacations and her short gambling trips by bus, as well as her favoured recipes including homemade bread, pies and caramels. Blanche was a woman of steadfast faith, leaving behind a well worn rosary and weekly attendance at church. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. A funeral service in memory of Blanche's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., January 8, 2016 at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens in Winnipeg, 455 Lagimodière Blvd. Nous ne t'oublierons jamais chère maman. Repose-toi bien. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
