Roy was my father. He was a very loving and caring man. He always put us kids and his wife Carol first in life, but I wish that I had more time time in his life to put him first. I miss my dad so much and he will be never forgotten in my heart. I wish that God didn't get my dad cancer so soon in life. I just hope that I can follow my dad's footstep in life to love and care of others. My dad was the one to always have a helping hand. I cry now for happiness to come from this, I love you dad. I will miss Roy as a former co worker and more importantly as a friend. Since we both retired from CPR I really enjoyed or coffee get togethers and and our lunches with other former CPR employees. Roy always had something nice to say. And even when he was sick he always asked you first "how are you doing" . A true friend and gentlemen. - Posted by: Doug stephens (Coworker and friend) on: Mar 17, 2016

We had the great pleasure of meeting Roy, Carol, Brayden and Jarrett through our same aged sons minor hockey activities. Not sure whether I have ever met a more compassionate, sincere and gracious couple as Roy and Carol. They set an example to be followed. Roy's ever present smile was only ever matched by Carol herself. Roy will be sorely missed by anyone who ever encountered him and we hope that there will be some way, some how in the near future that Carol will be able to smile brightly again. Carol, Brayden and Jarrett, our very sincere sympathies on the passing of the wonderful husband, father, friend and person Roy was. Roy was a true friend in every sense. His kind and caring demeanor, willingness to help anyone in need, and his true genuineness were traits he possessed like no other. He was a blessing to all who knew him. We will deeply miss our coffee dates, cheering on the jets, dinner dates, his sweet smile and unwavering kindness. So many memories will be cherished forever. Rest in peace dear friend. Our hearts and prayers are with you always Carol, Brayden, and Jarrett. We are so saddened to hear of Roy's passing. We thought of him as the King of Sauve. Always a smile and wave when you passed by. Always a helpful hand, either helping to hold a tree being cut down or putting away the big garbage/re-cycle bins. grass cutting or snow shoveling for the neighbors. You could always find him with friends sitting in his garage or around his fire-pit on the driveway. We have lost a real beacon of light in our neighborhood. He left us too soon. There was only one Roy. Our condolences to Carol, Brayden and Jarrett. - Posted by: Carol Douglas and Rick Hayes (Neighbors) on: Jan 07, 2016

Roy was simply the best - helpful, caring and of good cheer. He was a coffee buddy and loved to hand out at Timmies. Roy loved to play cars and would often come over this past summer for coffee and a game of cribbage. We will always remember our Roy. Our prayers are with Carol, Brayden and Jarrett.
